Multiple Lane Closures in Pecos, Texas Due to Year Long Traffic Signal Project

Posted on September 15, 2022

This week, the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) announced an infrastructure improvement and traffic signal project in Pecos, Texas in Reeves County. The year-long construction project will require multiple lane closures near Interstate 20, Texas State Highway 17, and Country Club Drive. While the overall project and the improvements to an area desperately in need of it, the year long project will greatly increase traffic congestion in an already heavily congested rural area with notoriously dangerous stretch of roads in the oilfields of West Texas.

Stout & Stout Lawyers has handled multiple personal injury and wrongful death cases resulting from motor vehicle crashes, accidents, trucking accidents, and head on collisions in the West Texas area of Reeves, Winkler, and Pecos counties. These West Texas counties have some of the highest levels of oilfield production in the country, and as a result, experience dangerous loads of traffic from oil and gas industry supportive vehicles like frac trucks, water hauling trucks, tractor-trailers, 18 wheelers, and welding trucks.

If you or someone you know has been hurt or killed in the Southeastern New Mexico or West Texas area, contact Stout & Stout Lawyers today for a free consultation about a personal injury and/or wrongful death claim. You may be entitled to damages stemming from personal injuries, lost wages, or the loss of enjoyment of life for a loved one.
